We are welcoming pull requests for DigitalOcean's Hacktoberfest!
To make it sweeter, we are putting up $4000 in bounties up for grabs:

  • $2000 by Remotion
  • $2000 sponsored by CodeChem!

How to participate

  • Look at the list issues of issues: https://github.com/remotion-dev/remotion/issues?q=+label%3A%22%F0%9F%A5%A8++hacktoberfest%22+ More issues will be added during October!
  • Check if the issue is already assigned to someone. If not, claim it by commenting!
  • Each issue has a well-defined acceptance criteria. If the criteria is fulfilled, we will merge it.
  • We will give you guidance for those issues and help you get them merged during October
  • 4 merged PRs across Remotion and other participating repositories will get you a T-shirt or a planted tree!
  • Best of all, each issue has a cash bounty between $100 and $250 assigned to it!

Rules

  • If you want to work on an issue, write a comment and we'll assign you.
  • Check if somebody else is assigned before starting to work on an issue.
  • After 7 days of no progress, I will unassign you and give the issue to someone else. But I will help you if you get stuck!
  • You need to finish an issue before you pick another one.
  • Payments will be made via IssueHunt, where withdrawals can be made via PayPal. All bounties are at least $100 after commission, so the minimum withdrawal threshold is no problem.
  • IssueHunt will take a 10% commission, so if the bounty is $112, you will get $100.80 (90% of it)

Thanks everyone for participating! Every bounty except one has been paid out by now.
We are also going to announce some of the best features in November and shout out those who implemented them!

Here is an overview of the bounties and some statistics:
